PMI just released a 70/4500 HP paintball n2 tank.  70 cubic inch tanks are designed to be shorter and fatter than the standard 68 cubic inch size.  The advantage is you can tuck the gun up closer to you.  The PMI 70/4500 comes from the factory as a high pressure tank (800PSI output), however a Low Pressure conversion kit is also included in the box, which makes this a great deal.  The 70, like all other 70 tanks are love it or leave it.  It has no real advantage over a 68ci tank other than the “peanut” shape.

If you are thinking about buying a new PMR Paintball gun, get it tonight if you can or you will end up paying more for the gun.  Proto Paintball has a big Christmas sale going on which they extended it into the Spring, however they are pulling the Plug on the $250 price.  As of tomorrow am, the Price for the PMR will be $274.95!! So its going up $25 bucks.  Not a big deal however if you can afford to get one tonight, DO IT!

We just got a fresh batch of ETEK2 colors in.  The new colors (in addition to Black, and Brown/Gold) are RED/White, and Green/White.  The Etek2 looks light a well designed “black tie” paintball gun.  It has a refined look and feel too it, while at the same time it flexes a little muscle.  The guns are sharp if you haven’t checked them out yet.  although they came out with 2 new cool looking colors, they stopped making the Blue/White (ICE) color, which was also a pretty cool looking color.

Check out the new spyder RSX paintball gun.  It comes stock with a Tadao board ($150 value), the board allows the gun to hit 30 balls per second in 1 of 5 firing modes.  Its a pretty slick deal, all for well under $300, $269 actually. You indefinably need a fast hopper for this gun,  anything like the Halo B, VL Eye Force or better will work with this super fast gun.  Of course it has eyes too!

So we’re not sure what the deal is with the release of the JRNY Paintball Hopper from NXE.  Frankly we keep getting “jerked” around.  We feel we have been strung along since Dec. 07 waiting for the release of these hoppers.  We were provided with information saying first the end of Dec.  Then the end of Feb, and then finally after San Diego’s NPPL event.  The San Diego NPPL event has come and gone and yet now we heard a rumor of JULY!  In an effort not to string our customers along as we have been, SAKworldpaintball.com took the initiative to cancel all Pre-Orders we had for the Hopper.  The last thing we wanted to do was feed customers more bad information.  People need hoppers to play with this summer.  No one wants to wait till the end of summer for a new hopper.

FINALLY, the long awaited JRNY Paintball Hopper will be released at the end of this month after PSP’s World Cup. NXE the manufacturer of the JRNY found a last minute software glitch just before the original February release date.  NXE (and SAKworldpaintball.com) thought it would be best to hold the release of the JRNY pending the software fix.  We think its always better when a manufacture releases s “finished” product vs. releasing something defective and troubling the customer or a retail store to have to send the item in for repair after the fact.   The JRNY hopper is set to be the faster and lightest paintball hopper available.  Its feed rates should exceed 30bps.

Most people think you can’t bring a electro paintball gun out in the rain. This just isn’t the case. All paintball guns need to take abuse will in play. Its the nature of paintball to crawl around threw swamps or slide to puddles, manufacturers take then into account when they design a paintball gun. 90% of paintball circuit boards out there are sprayed with a silicone solution to protect them from water. Some boards like the Virtue Boards even go as far as to offer you a life time warranty. Smart Parts went as far as to take a SP1 paintball gun under water and shoot it. What do you know, it still works!

Does anyone else hope this is fake? I found it out on the Planet Eclipse web site. Don’t get me wrong, I love Planet Eclipse Ego paintball guns, however not enough to tattoo their logo to my back (given it did come out nice). if memory serves I think some WDP fan tattooed the Angel logo somewhere on himself.

Did you guys check out the new Eclipse SL8R? Its pretty cool and $200 cheaper than previous years SL (SL66 and SL74) models, which will indefinably put it a little more in reach for more paintballers.
While I brought up Angel, Angel Sports (WDP renamed themselves Angel Sports) will be releasing the A1 Fly any day now. Look for lighten weight, probably new software, and meaner looking milling. I hope they don’t change the barrel thread yet again. They have changed their thread so many times now, its hard to remember what thread is for what Angel.
